GENERAL NEWS / (eu) ep/europol

20/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Speaking before the Commission on Civil Liberties, the Director of the European Police Office (Europol), Mr Jürgen Storbeck, asked the Parliament to support a proposal for an act of the Council (Danish initiative) on "the protection of information secrecy". This legislation aims to classify documents stored by Europol into four security levels: "restricted", "confidential", "secret" and "top secret".
