Brussels, 20/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Ten EU cities and capital regions have signed a memorandum to strengthen the urban element of the cohesion policy after 2006. Leaders from Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Stockholm and Vienna have joined their counterparts from Berlin, Brussels and Paris/Ile-de-France to "promote and defend the idea of a European regional policy with a strong urban dimension after 2006" (the next period of multi-annual programming in regional policy)....
