27/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The steering committee of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) is to meet on 28 January in Brussels under the chairmanship of ETUC President Fritz Verzetnitsch, and in the presence of its General Secretary, Emilio Gabaglio. The themes are the European Convention and the preparation of the ETUC Congress from 26-29 May in Prague. Liberalisation of world trade and the place of Europe in this process are being examined with Commissioner Pascal Lamy.
