13/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday the Permanent Representatives Committee (Coreper) approved the common position of the Council's common position on the draft directive on bringing the legislation of Member States closer together with regard to the compulsory wearing of safety belts in vehicles of less than 3.5 tons. The Competitiveness Council is expected to adopt the common position on Thursday without debate.
