09/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - Macedonia has formally requested NATO to extend its peacekeeping mission (Amber Fox) on its territory until 15 December. The mission, has been up and running since last year and ensures that the international observers who monitor that the stabilisation process in the country is carried out correctly, are protected. EU Defence Ministers, meeting informally in Rethymnon wanted the NATO mandate to be extended till the end of December in the absence of an EU/NATO...
