09/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - Ireland, Greece, the Netherlands, Austria, Finland and the United Kingdom, which initially limited their State guarantee scheme for insurance premiums to companies linked to the risk of war or terrorism, to the end of September, have decided to extend it until 31 October, as proposed by the Commission and following the Transport Council of 3 October. Nevertheless, Ireland, Finland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, as well as Sweden Denmark and Luxembourg (which have already suspended the scheme) are said to be against extending the system beyond 31 October (EUROPE of 4 October, p.9).
