Brussels, 02/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is soon to have an executive director. Geoffrey Podger, currently executive director of the UK Food Standards Agency, was nominated on Wednesday by the EFSA administrative board to hold this post. His formal appointment will not come until the designated candidate has been heard by the European Parliament.
