16/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Assembly and the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the Western European Union are organising a seminar in Lisbon on 8 October on security in the Western Mediterranean, with the participation of representatives of the EU and countries of North Africa. General Garcia Leandro, director of the Portuguese National Defence Institute, will report on the risks, threats and challenges for security in the region.
