Brussels/Geneva, 13/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - Geneva's ruling on the legality of the protection measures restricting access conditions for steel exports to the United States for nearly the past six months will be published in March 2003, according to close sources on Friday. In the meantime, the EU is continuing to feel its way in terms of the fate it will reserve for its threat to impose "immediate" sanctions, seeming to be moving in the direction of putting off the deadline again until the end of the month. A preliminary assessment of Washington's concessions is still "mixed', but the fifteen Member States agree that the EU strategy, both defensive and encouraging at the same time, is quite productive, suggests the same source.
