EUR 443 million for conversion of vineyards

Brussels, 23/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to allocate €443 million to Member States for the conversion of vineyards in the 2001/02 marketing year. The amount left over (€42 million out of the €422 million initially distributed) will be reallocated to Member States that have asked for extra funding (Spain, Austria and Portugal). For 2002/2003 the beneficiaries are: Germany EUR 14 682 873 for 2 566 hectares; Greece EUR 9 285 036 for 1 050 ha; Spain EUR 157...
