Brussels, 20/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved an aid package of EUR 615,000 to Nepal aimed at reducing the growing instability in the country since the failure of peace negotiations in November 2001. The package is financed under the Rapid Reaction Mechanism and will help to reduce the consequences of the conflict on the long-standing assistance programmes financed by the EU.
