Brussels, 14/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - Based upon the recommendations of NATO's military authorities, the Defence Planning Committee approved the disbandment of Allied Command Europe Mobile Force Land headquarters in Europe (AMF(L)) on 19 July 2002. The concept of rapid deployment and flexible multinational forces is being incorporated into NATO's new concept of "graduated readiness forces".
