Brussels, 05/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has published reports for each of the candidate countries' agricultural sector. These twelve reports (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Cyprus and Malta do not focus on the state of progress carried out with an enlargement perspective but rather, provide economic data and statistics from Eurostat principally on: the profitability of agriculture, price evolution of products and income for farmers. We can also find a description of the types of production, the agro-foods industry, as well as major commercial trends in these countries. A chapter on the "agriculture and budget policies", focuses on internal assistance measures and market access.
