Brussels, 05/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Monday the European Commission authorised the Japanese electronics manufacturer , Hitachi to acquire sole control of the US computer manufacturer IBM. It noted that large buyers needed multiple suppliers and that on the supply side, incumbent HDD manufacturers face relatively low barriers to entry into the mobile HDD segment.
- The joint acquisition of the Polish company Masterlink Express Sp.Z.o.o. (express couriers) which ahs been owned up till now by Baltic Logisitic Systems International AB (which belongs to the Swedish Posten group) and is active in the Baltic countries and Poland and Russia by FrenchGeopost SA (which belongs to La Poste in France).
- Join acquisition of the Italian underta king Immobiliare Gallerie Commercialiai S.p.A. ((immoveable property for commercial use), and currently owned by Finiper S.p.A. by the French group Klépierre S.A.
