Brunei, 01/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - Speaking in Brunei on 30 July, where he was participating in the annual Asean Regional forum (ARF), Javier Solana the CFSP High Representative condemned the bomb attack in a cafeteria at the Jewish University of Jerusalem, which killed six people and injured around ten others: "I unreservedly condemn the heinous bomb attack in Mount Scopus Campus. No cause can possibly justify the blind killing of innocent civilians. The continuous cycle of violence has become unbearable, and must be brought to an end. When schools and Universities are deliberately hit by terror attacks, there is no shelter against human folly, and no refuge against hate. I offer my deepest condolences to the families of the many victims of this attack, and to the Government of Israel".
