Entry into force of new legislation limiting the presence of dioxins

Brussels, 01/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - Community legislation setting limits on presence of dioxin in food and feed enter into force on Monday 1 July. The regulation targets dioxin levels in food and animal feed and was adopted by the Council in November 2001 (see EUROPE 29 November 2001). This legislation sets legally binding limits on the presence of dioxin in food and animal feed.
