Commission may begin infringement proceedings against France which refuses to lift embargo on Portuguese beef

Brussels, 25/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission could be sending a warning letter in July (first stage in infringement proceeding within Article 226 of the Treaty) to France for not respecting Community decisions on lifting the embargo on Portuguese beef.
