Commission of the Bishops' Conference of the European Community

Brussels, 24/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a document sent to the Presidium and Members of the European Convention, the Commission of the Bishops' Conference of the European Community (COMECE) has put forward a number of points for reflection of the future of the European Union, suggesting that the future Constitutional Treaty of the EU includes No: 11 of the Final Act of the Treaty of Amsterdam guaranteeing respect for the status of the churches and religious communities.
