07/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Spanish Presidency is organising for 8-10 May in Granada, a conference entitled: "Research in the Health Systems of the European Union: Needs and Priorities". The conference, which will bring together scientific experts from most Member States aims to: - contribute to the development of a discussion forum for the design of an adequate framework for identifying the needs of European health systems; - assess the real and future situation of biomedical research in Europe; - envisage the creation of a network where results and experiences can be exchanged; - and identify priorities for research in the field of health, with a view to implementing the future 6th Framework Programme for Research for the EU.
