24/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Monday the EU Council of Ministers adopted without debate the new directive on undesirable substances and products in animal feed. This follows the conciliation agreement reached between Parliament and the Council in March. This directive amends and further restricts the 1999 directive maximum levels for these substances. The new provisions also restrict conditions for re-exporting dangerous animal feed abroad.
