24/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Ministers adopted without debate the decision authorising the European Commission to negotiate guaranteed sugar can prices from ACP countries and India for the delivery periods 2001/2002 - 2005/2006. This decision in compliance with the EU/ACP and India Partnership Agreement is aimed at guaranteeing these third countries prices comparable to prices paid to Community producers over these periods.
