08/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EP has confirmed the official visit of King Abdallah of Jordan, who is to take the floor at a solemn session on the occasion of the plenary session this June in Strasbourg. Furthermore, Parliament Vice-President Giorgios Diomitrakopoulos (Nea Demokratia, Greece) is to represent the EP President Pat Cox at the meeting of the Presidents of Parliaments at the Euro-Mediterranean Forum to be held on 12 April in Cairo. The meeting was convened to discuss the situation in the Middle East. Also, the meeting of President Cox with Rockwell Schnabel, US Representative with the European Union, on Tuesday morning in Strasbourg, is to mainly cover developments in the Middle East.
