Agreement to enter into force 1 May 2002

Brussels, 05/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement between the EU and Jordan will enter into force on 1 May, announced the European Commission, which also indicated that all the necessary ratification procedures for the EU in this association agreement had been met at the end of March. Legal recognition for the procedure occurred with the Council notifying the Jordanian Embassy in Brussels on 27 March.
