Scottish & Newcastle can take over Hartwall

Brussels, 05/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has given the go-ahead for Scottish & Newcastle plc, a company registered in Scotland, active in brewing beer and wholesaling beer and other beverages to acquire sole control of the Finnish company Oyj Hartwall Abp. Scottish & Newcastle plc is present in the UK, Irish, French and Belgian markets and also has joint control over the Portuguese brewer Centralcer, together with the Portuguese undertaking, Parfil, and the Spanish...
