Solana attends Summit of Arab League

Brussels, 25/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, will calls on Israelis and Palestinians to seize the opportunity of the Summit of the Arab League (that opens in Beirut on Wednesday) to advance the peace process. The EU hopes that the Summit will support the initiative of the Saudi Arabian Crown Prince for a withdrawal from the 1967 Occupied Territories in return for recognition of the state of Israel by the Arab states, despite hostility to this idea...
