GENERAL NEWS / (eu) eu/governance/mountain areas

25/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Association of Elected Representatives from Mountain Areas (AEM) has just released its opinion on the White Paper on Governance. AEM "supports the European Commission's initiative" and, more specifically, calls for recognition of the specific identity of mountain areas in the Treaty on European Union. The opinion may be consulted on AEM's site: www.promonte-aem.org.
