25/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday in Cape Town, the ACP-EU Joint Assembly celebrated in its own way the Human Rights Day introduced in South Africa in commemoration of the Sharpeville massacre on 21 March 1960. It gave the floor to South Africa's Human Rights Commissioner, who outlined the measures being implemented to guarantee the protection of fundamental freedoms and the rights of minorities.
