ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banking

Germany insurance company ALLIANZ has invested around EUR 360 million in the acquisition of the 4.1% stake that German bank HVB - HYPOVEREINSBANK held in the third biggest Spanish bank BPE - BANCO POPULAR ESPAÑOL, thereby increasing its stake to 9.9%.
