Commission reacts to failure by some member states to transpose directives on air quality and emissions

Brussels, 15/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission decided to take action against several Member States for not having or for having incorrectly transposed Community legislation on air quality and emissions. It referred several to the Court of Justice: - France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain in relation to a directive on consumer access to fuel economy and CO2 emissions data; - Italy and the United Kingdom concerning an amendment to the Fuel Standards...
