China bans import of certain cosmetics from EU

Brussels, 12/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - Fearing the presence of substances that could cause bovine spongiform encephalopathy, the Chinese health authorities announced on Tuesday the ban on the import of certain cosmetic products from 18 countries, 13 of which EU Member States (UK, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Austria, Finland).
