Hubert Pirker wants Vienna Monitoring Centre to be investigated

Brussels, 21/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - The ÖVP MEP Hubert Pirker notes in a press release that the EP's Public Liberties Committee had echoed the Court of Auditors' criticisms of shortcomings in the financial management of the European Racism Monitoring Centre. The Austrian MEP comments in particular that the recruitment procedures for the Vienna centre cost twice as much as for the Lisbon drug monitoring centre and calls on the European Commission to carry out a systematic investigation...
