NEWS CORP, the group belonging to the businessman Rupert Murdoch, as sold to CANAL +, subsidiary of France's VIVENDI, its share in the Italian STREAM, which will be merged with TELEPIU, 100% subsidiary of CANAL+. STREAM was so far held 50/50 by NEWS CORP and TELECOM ITALIA. The transaction was clinched for $42 million.
