Agricultural negotiations with Cyprus and Malta

Brussels, 14/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the EU Council of Ministers authorised the Commission to start negotiating an agreement with Cyprus and Malta over additional agricultural trading concessions. Processed agricultural products will not be covered (since they will be discussed in separate negotiations in the future) but the aim of the current negotiations is to liberalise trade in agriculture.
