30/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The current weakness of the euro does not carry any inflationary risks so the present interest rate for the eurozone is appropriate, asserted Ernst Welteke, President of the Bundesbank and member of the European Central Bank (ECB)'s Governing Council, on Tuesday. He said that the direction of changes in the euro exchange rate did not endanger price stability and after a likely rise in January, inflation in the eurozone would return in the next few months below...
