30/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) has just published a report on Bulgaria referring to many cases of ill- treatment inflicted in the country's police stations and in prisons. The Bulgarian authorities have taken steps to improve the situation in the places concerned. The CPT intends returning to Bulgaria this year.
