Continuing its recentering on energy and collective services, the German group E.ON is to sell, for the sum of EUR 3.1 billion, its aluminium production subsidiary, VAW ALUMINIUM, to Norwegian NORSK HYDRO. With this move, NORSK HYDRO will add EUR 3.7 billion to its turnover and becomes, with a total of EUR 10 billion in sales in this sector, the largest European producer of aluminium and the third largest in the world.
