18/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report on Tuesday by Arlindo Cunha (EPP-ED, Portugal), the European Parliament endorsed the new Fisheries Protocol between the EU and Guinea-Bissau. The Protocol runs from 16/06/2001 to 15/06/2006 for trawling, viz. a total of 12,400 gross registered tonnes (GRT) broken down into 9600 GRT for prawn fishing and 2800 GRT for cephalopods and fish.
