18/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - On 20 December, the European Commission is due to adopt an action plan on providing the Union with appropriate energy infrastructure that will create a real internal gas and electricity market. Because of the interconnection capacity deficiency between several Member States, cross-border trade today represent less than 10% of electricity consumption. EUROPE will address this issue later.
