Brussels, 26/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - CFSP High Representative Javier Solana will again be in the Balkans on a visit beginning on 27 November, in Belgrade. While there, he will meet President Kostunica, Prime Minister Pesic and Foreign Minister Svilanovic, to discuss developments in Montenegro (see EUROPE of 21 November, p.5, on the subject of the General Affairs Council conclusions confirming the EU's attachment to a democratic Montenegro within a democratic FRY). On 27 and 28 November, Mr Solana will be in Podgorica, where he will tackle these same issues with the Montenegrin leaders, including President Djukanovic. Finally, on 28 November, the High Representative will meet the leaders of Kosovo and the representatives of the international community in Pristina. With them, he will examine the situation resulting from the legislative elections on 17 November (see also EUROPE of 21 November, p.5, on the subject of the conclusions of the EU Council, which had marked its opposition to Kosovo's desire for independence).
