23/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - Professor Mark Mazower (Birkbeck College, University of London) will be awarded the Bentinck Prize (on 28 November at the Florence University Institute) for his book "The Balkans". The prize is awarded each year to a book promoting a united and democratic Europe, human rights in Europe or peace and security throughout the entire continent.
