Commission clears takeover of Haindl by UPM-Kymmene and Norske Skog

Brussels, 21/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following a thorough investigation, the European Commission has granted regulatory approval to the proposed takeover of Haindl, a German paper company, by Finland's UPM-Kymmene and the subsequent sale of two of the Haindl mills to Norwegian paper manufacturer Norske Skog.
