ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) steel

The Austrian group VOEST ALPINE has launched a friendly purchase bid for the Dutch components manufacturer POLYNORM (steel, aluminium and hybrid modules; turnover EUR 469 million in 2000). It offers 70 euros per ordinary share, which gives the components manufacturer a value of around EUR 127 million.
