Daniel Cohn-Bendit to stand for Presidency post

Brussels, 12/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - German Green MEP (elected in France) Daniel Cohn-Bendit, will be standing to take over from Belgian Paul Lannoye (who has decided not to stand again in order to spend more time on development/food/environment issues) as Co-President of the Greens/European Free Alliance group. No other candidates have been put forward to date and the Finnish Co-President, Heidi Hautala, and the Belgian Co-President for the regionalists, Nelly Maes, may be re-elected...
