A week after having received the go-ahead from the European competition authorities to take control of OLIVETTI-TELECOM ITALIA, Marco Tronchetti Provera, CEO of PIRELLI, announced a capital increase of 4 bn euro, in shares and convertible bonds, in view of reducing OLIVETTI's debt to 13.5 bn euro.
