GUE/NGL Group opposes American war logic and pleads in favour of stepping-up fight against poverty

Schwerin, 28/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - In a declaration adopted on 27 September at its study days in Schwerin (Germany), the Group of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left expressed its sympathy and solidarity for the victims of the terrorist attacks of 11 September and provided its support for the fight against terrorism, while refusing to assimilate extremists with Islam.
