Nato launches Amber Fox mission

Brussels, 27/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, NATO formally launched the three-month Amber Fox mission to ensure the safety of EU and OECD observers in Macedonia. The force of around a thousand men, including 700 Germans, will be under German command. The 4,500 men who took part in the Essential Harvest mission will leave FYROM after having collected a total of 3,875 weapons in 30 days (including 4 tanks and 17 anti-aircraft defence systems), along with 397625 mines, explosives and...
