27/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Socialist Youth Organisation (ECOSY) would like youth organisations to be able to take part in the work on the institutional reform of the European Union and considers it essential that the future Convention organise a specific hearing for youth movements. "European youth must be involved in shaping the future of Europe. After all, it will be the Europe we have to live in. Holding a debate on the future of Europe without full participation of Europe's young people, would be like building a house without foundations", says ECOSY President Jan Krims in a press release, launching an appeal for the creation of a forum bringing together youth organisations at local, regional, national and European levels.
