SOLVAY (consolidated turnover of EUR 8.9 bil in 2000 for 32,000 employees in 50 different countries) announced on 1 August 2001 the creation of PEPTISYNTHA INC in Torrance (California), specialising in peptides, which will come into operation by the end of the year.
