ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) spirits

The British spirits group ALLIED DOMECQ has acquired the German family concern KUEMMERLING GMBH (turnover DM 223 in 2000), the fourth largest spirits company in Germany, for the sum of EUR 203 million. The acquisition will be against cash payment. ALLIED DOMECQ will merge the company with its activities in Germany.
