05/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the creation of a joint car hire company by Fidis (Fiat) and Sei (ENEL) in Italy, considering that the joint venture will not be able to exercise excessive power in the market since it will be competing with other players such as Arval, Axus, GE Capital Services or Europcar. EUROPE will be reporting on this issue in more detail in a future edition.
